Icara da Amontada, also known as Icaraizinho, was once known as Jericoacoara (similar to Atins) and is surrounded by wide expanses of coconut trees. The community has a variety of pousadas and restaurants, many of which are only a few steps away from the beach.
Initially discovered by windsurfers like Jeri, the kitesurf community has recently discovered Icaraizinho, with its blue waters, diverse sites offering different conditions, and a cosmopolitan yet calm feel. While the places aren't as crowded as some of Ceará's larger areas, the area is quickly becoming a kitesurfing hotspot. Given the similarity in terrain, the wind conditions here are similar to those in Jeri and Preá.
