Offering one of the largest standing areas in Egypt, the spot features a stunning natural backdrop, with lush greenery, three beautiful islands, and surrounding reefs that make it quite unique compared to other kiteboarding destinations in the country.

The lagoon, stretching 3 kilometers at high tide, is perfect for kitesurfing with its sandy bottom and crystal-clear turquoise water that stays waist-deep, making it ideal for beginners. The shallow waters provide ample room for practicing new tricks, while more advanced riders will find plenty of space to explore.

Unlike the busier spots around Hurghada, the best time to kite here is from September to June, with the added advantage that the wind typically starts earlier in the day. Early risers and self-sufficient kitesurfers with their own gear can take advantage of steady 12-15 knot side-offshore winds before the centers even open.
