Bozcaada - Cayir Beach

Bozcaada Island offers kitesurfing conditions similar to Gokceada. Kitesurfing can be enjoyed in any windy part of Bozcaada with its golden beaches and pristine bays, but Cayır Beach, with its wide shoreline, is the main spot for kitesurfers.

The most common way to reach Bozcaada is by ferry from Canakkale or the Geyikli ferry terminal in Ezine. Cayır Beach is located in the northern part of the island, approximately 4.5 km from the center of Bozcaada, and is easily accessible by a short drive.

Cayır Beach is a wide, sandy expanse, providing ample space for launching kites both lengthwise and widthwise. The local kitesurfing school on the beach offers amenities such as relaxation areas and shaded spaces.

The beach benefits from a northern coastal wind, with average winds during the season ranging from 18 to 20 knots. The water around Bozcaada is a unique delight, featuring cool seas and turquoise-colored beaches. Depending on wind strength, you may encounter small waves.

Despite being a relatively small settlement, Bozcaada offers various accommodations, including vineyard houses, hostels, and hotels both on the island and outside the center. There are also camping options and caravan sites available for those seeking a more adventurous stay.
