Valdevaqueros, the area's most famous kitesurfing beach, helped put Tarifa on the kitesurfing globe. A small crescent-shaped beach, 5 kilometers (3 miles) long, is located 9 kilometers (5.5 miles) northwest of Tarifa.
Even in a strong Levante wind, riding here is safe because to the sheltered bay. As a result, this site is ideal for both beginners and intermediates, as well as professional kiters who wish to practice their stunts safely. Despite the length of the beach, the approved kitesurfing area is narrow, and submerged rocks must be avoided.
Kitesurfing is allowed all year. Kitezones are set up along the shore from June 15 to September 15. The majority of the beach is dedicated to kitesurfing, but there is also a windsurfing zone and a tiny swimming area. Although the zones are not very well delineated, you should avoid the Windsurf zone to avoid mishaps.
