Tamri Beach, located at the base of high cliffs near a river mouth, offers a unique kitesurfing experience with a long beach break and consistent side-onshore winds. Accessible by parking roadside and walking down the cliff, this spot provides excellent waves with flat sections in between, making it enjoyable for riders of varying skill levels.
In strong wind conditions, the southern section of the beach tends to be choppy, with noticeable side currents. However, heading northward offers a different experience with clean, rideable right-hand waves. A small lagoon may also form at the river mouth, adding another dimension to the spot’s appeal.
The prime months for kitesurfing here are May through September. While Tamri is a popular winter destination for surfers from Agadir and beyond, and draws local beachgoers during July and August, it remains a relatively untouched gem among kitesurfers the rest of the year.
