The wind at this spot funnels between the two islands north of Kos, creating speed over 24 knots in strength at Marmari North beach. Due to erosion over recent years, there is not much beach space here, and the water is shallow for at least 50 metres.
The spot can be crowded, especially during the high season as there are three large hotel complexes nearby.
