The beach at Trinisa is beautiful clean sand, several kilometers long and more than wide enough to launch kites. The atmosphere is great here, you can meet local friendly kiters who will help you with everything you need. Right at the spot you can visit a tavern, get something to drink or eat and it's possible to freecamp here without any issues.
The water is shallow about a hundred meters and then goes deep. Usually with small waves but it's not a big chop but rother nice small waves on the water. The beach is huge and if you see more than five or ten kites on the water it's a miracle. You can also go upwind about 300 meters and ride on a flat water behind the harbor. The wind is not really stable but still you can make some freestyle tricks there.
What's more if you have wind coming from the south then it's thick and gives you a big airtime and not what you would normally expect. You can even ride a wind about 2 knots less than you are used to.
Local kiters are here almost every day when it's windy are will help you with everything you need. They have a small house as a base with all the equipment and if you want a lesson, ask for Kostas who can teach you.
The spot is quite far away from a widely know places but if you are near, you should definitely visit it.
We were surprised by everything at Trinisa, the water, the wind and the nice people. I enjoyed most of the time on the water alone. The long beach invites you to a beautiful freeride.
