Cheronisi (Peloponesse)

Spot on the Cheronisi beach is a perfect spot for campers and caravans. The parking is big, there is a shower and a dry toilet right next to it. You can lie down on the beach under umbrellas for free. And if you want something to eat or drink just visit the local tavern. There is no sand on the beach and the parking lot is mostly just dry dust. 

But the wind here is perfect. It's blowing every day during the season and even if the forecast is not looking well the wind comes nevertheless. Mostly in the late afternoon around 5 pm. You can launch the kite right on the beach but then you need to move to the water and not kitesurf in the zone marked by buoys. However, the bay is huge and the place is perfect for foiling or free riding. 

If the beach is crowded you can walk down the beach for another 500 meters and launch the kite over there. The place is huge, long, and abandoned but with bigger rocks. 

If you wish for even stronger wind and will come here in a common car (not over 2m in height) you can drive a few kilometers south to the main local kitesurfing spot and kiteboard there. The more south you are, the stronger the wind. And vice versa. The wind gets weaker more north in the bay.

All in all, Cheronisi is a perfect spot to kitesurf. Not for a long stay but one week here could be great. A small village with some shops is about 15 minutes by car.
