You can find in Trabucador shallow, flat, and choppy water as well as small waves that are easy to ride, so beginners are welcome to come and practice different styles. Some sections of the beach have services available for your safety and enjoyment.
Given the warm weather and water you can find here typically from April to October, you can reasonably expect the beach and water to get crowded on the height of summer. Even during the winter you can still find great conditions for kiting, although smaller kites are recommended on the October to March stretch.
It is primarily a winter destination, though it does offer some sailing opportunities throughout the summer.
The prevailing winds are from the north and blow practically every day from mid-September to April; they also blow throughout the rest of the year, but with less frequency. The feature of El Spot Riumar is that we sail in open sea, with some natural lagoons built near the river's mouth, where navigation is absolutely flat and ideal for kiters beginning to kite.
The lagoon region is close by and provides good waves for surfkite enthusiasts and freestylers who enjoy the sea. Because Riumar and Trabucador are only 15 kilometers apart, most visitors can surf both places. The access to the sailing grounds is almost perfect in general.
