Riumar (Delta del Ebro)

Riumar Beach is located on the left bank of the Ebro River, about 18 kilometers from the kitesurfing destination Trabucador, in a densely populated but well-kept region. It is 10 kilometers from this town and belongs to the municipality of Deltebre in the province of (Tarragona). It is 2.6 kilometers long and 150 meters broad. Several beach bars are located near the beach and are connected by long wooden walkways that preserve the sand dunes. After a long day of kitesurfing in Riumar, it's nice to relax and catch up on the latest kitesurfing news, have a drink, or maybe eat.

Delta del Ebro, near Riumar, offers choppy and flat water with small waves that welcomes all levels of riders, so it's a great spot to practice a variety of styles. There aren't any significant issues or hazards in Delta del Ebro, other than the occasional beach goer on the height of summer.

Riumar is more adequate for kiting during the winter months, since the wind you can find then is on-shore. You can still kite during the summer, but you will find off-shore winds. THe advantage of Riumar is that you canf ind services at the beack all-year round, which is not the case in Trabucador.

The lagoon region is close by and provides good waves for surfkite enthusiasts and freestylers who enjoy the sea. Because Riumar and Trabucador are only 15 kilometers apart, most visitors can surf both places. The access to the sailing grounds is almost perfect in general.
