Located on the northwest coast of Phuket, just 5 minutes from the airport, Nai Yang Beach is a laid-back kitesurfing spot offering a mix of flatwater and waves. The wide 1.5 km bay features 500-600 meters of shallow, flat water to the right, perfect for beginners and foiling, while the left side offers surfable reef waves (1-2m) for more experienced riders.
The best season runs from May to October during the southwest monsoon, with winds ranging from 12-25 knots. However, the wind can be inconsistent and is sometimes followed by rain, especially in May and September, the wettest months.
The soft sandy beach, tamarind trees for shade, and occasional turtle sightings make Nai Yang Beach a relaxed and scenic kitesurfing destination.
