Krapets Beach, situated in northeastern Bulgaria close to the Romanian border and near Durankulak, is a long, sandy stretch that remains quiet and untouched even during the height of summer. Despite its proximity to Varna, this huge sandy beach remains blissfully free of tourist crowds, sunbeds, and beach bars—even in the peak summer months. This natural setting has made Krapets a favorite spot among kitesurfers who prefer authentic coastal landscapes over busy resort areas.
The northern end of the beach offers great conditions for kitesurfing. Here, side-onshore and onshore winds come in from various eastern directions, providing reliable sessions from June to August. While the beach itself remains largely undeveloped, during the summer you’ll find a few local kitesurfing schools offering lessons and support for all levels.
With its wide open spaces and relaxed atmosphere, Krapets Beach is an ideal place for those who prefer a more authentic and natural kiting experience on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.
