Ifaty – Ambolomailaka is a laid-back kitesurfing spot on Madagascar’s southwest coast, located right on the beach in front of Hotel de la Plage in Ifaty Tuléar. The area features a vast, safe lagoon with no strong currents, making it an ideal playground for beginners and freeriders alike.
The wind here is predominantly side-onshore, blowing steadily from the south and southwest. It ranges between 12 to 30 knots during the main kitesurfing season from June to December, offering reliable conditions for most skill levels. From January to May, the wind is less consistent due to cloud cover and the rainy season.
