This is one of the Spots for kitesurfing at Lake Como, sitting at to border of Italy and Switzerland, so it can get quite cold, even to the point of snowing in the winter. The rest of the year you are more unlikely to find snow at the spot but is is quite cold still, so a good warm wetsuit is recommended.
You will find only choppy water and while the wind may be northbound or southbound, it is the wind from the south that is recommended for kiting. Being a lake, you are not going to find waves here, but the chop it's pretty decent. The spot is graded for intermediate to expert riders, and you do have to mind the trees in the beach and the rocks in the water.
